Top Ten Tuesday - Pet Parade

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Pet Parade!

Happy Tuesday! I know we are supposed to feature books we didn't review, but I always try to review every book I read. It's been a long time since I have not left some thoughts on Goodreads for a book I finished. So, I am going rogue. I really wasn't sure where to go, but we all know I read a LOT of books with cute covers and those covers are cute because of animals. Below are ten recent reads with precious pets on the covers.

  1. The Curious Kitten at the Chibineko Kitchen by Yuta Takahashi
  2. We'll Prescribe You a Cat by Syou Ishida
  3. The Full Moon Coffee Shop by Mai Mochizuki
  4. The Restaurant of Lost Recipes by Hisashi Kashiwai
  5. The Grump Whisperer by Katy James
  1. Anything for You by Kristan Higgins
  2. Back After This by Linda Holmes
  3. Puppy Love at Mistletoe Junction by Shannon Richard
  4. Better Than Friends by Jill Shalvis
  5. To All the Dogs I've Loved Before by Lizzie Shane

  2. You know I love animals, but I have to be careful what pet books I read. I can be very picky about how they are treated or, especially, trained. I love when the are just included as a character - like in most Shalvis books but not funny books about "bad dogs".

    1. Shalvis is such a champion of dogs, so they are always depicted well in her books. The only book up there where there was a bumpy road was Higgins' book. The first version (the dog's name was used for subsequent dogs) attacked the hero when he was a boy, but the dogs that came after were great. I am trying to remember, but I believe there were circumstances as to why the dog attacked.

    1. Even if it's only a few sentences, I capture something about the book I read.
