Discussion - Challenge Accepted - 2025

This Week's Topic

Challenge Accepted - 2025

Happy 2025. It's that time of year where we start anew and select our reading challenges. I am pretty much doing the ones I always with two additions - Buzzword 2025 Reading Challenge and Buzzword 2025 Cover Challenge. These are monthly challenges which are my favorites with one prompt per month. I thought the prompts were good, and you all know how much I love covers.

Goodreads Challenge

I am continuing to set this challenge to 250 books. I know can do that comfortably, but I always hope to read more.

Literary Escapes

Alphabet Soup

Monthly Motif

Buzzword and Keyword Reading Challenges

Buzzword Book Cover Challenge

The Discussion Challenge

Once again, I am hoping to come up with one discussion per month. This is a very longstanding challenge and I am grateful to Nicole and Shannon for continuing to host it.

Now it's your turn!

Are you joining any challenges?

  1. Good luck on all your challenges! You always do great!

  2. How on earth are you able to keep track of all these? LOL. "It's all geek to me" is a very clever wordplay. I also noticed an overlap (Punctuated Titles" in January and "Punctuation" in July"...).

I've never participated in any challenge, nor I plan to.

    1. I have a spreadsheet for tracking. I find the challenges fun, and I never picked that ones that are too demanding like Pop Sugar or Read Harder.

  3. These challenges sound fun! I don't normally go for challenges myself, because I lose interest too easily. But every once in a while, I'll go for one. I'm more likely to do one that's a month-long challenge, because that'll keep my interest more.

    1. It's just a little goal for each month. It really doesn't rule me, and the only challenges I "officially" sign up for are Goodreads and the Discussion Challenge.

  5. As usual I am awed by all your challenges and goals. Also 250 books is double what I read!

    1. You do a lot of other stuff (reels, IG, painting books, travel); I read. It's the quality of the books, not the quantity.

  6. Wow, you've got a lot of challenges going on this year Sam. I cut back this year, but want to do ones that motivate me to try new genres or topics. The big one that I am doing this year is The 52 Book Club. I hope you enjoy all of these challenges and Good Luck.

    1. Most of these are one prompt per month and then the three year long (with Goodreads just being a count). I find them manageable.

  7. Good luck with all our challenges! I am joining the discussion challenge as well, but that's the only one for this year. That Buzzword cover challenge and the alphabet soup one sounds interesting.

    1. Buzzword is new to me but I have done AtoZ in some form every year. Some of those letters are tough but I enjoy the challenge.
