Sloth's Choice Awards - Favorite Debut Books

It's time to celebrate my year in books. I will be spreading my favorites throughout a bunch of categories, but these are all favorites. For more of my favorites, check out my Five Star Friday posts. Today I will be sharing.....
Favorite Debut Books!

I love to find new writing talent and lend my support to new authors. I didn't read as many debuts as I would have liked, but I did read 35. There were quite a few memorable ones, and I hope to read more from these authors as well.
  1. The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife by Anna Johnston
  2. Four Weekends and a Funeral by Ellie Palmer
  3. Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks
  4. I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue
  5. Birding with Benefits by Sarah T. Dubb
  1. How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang
  2. The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers by Samuel Burr
  3. Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame by Olivia Ford
  4. One Last Shot by Betty Cayouette
  5. Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley

  1. I rarely read debut books so 35 is quite impressive to me. These all do look like good reads.

  4. The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife was one of my favourite books this past year. I have The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers and Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame on my TBR shelf. Man, I need to get these books that others say were among their favourites for 2024.

    1. Frederick Fife was such a wonderful story. I am a sucker for stories with senior characters and a good redemption storyline.

  7. I need to make a shelf on Goodreads so I can track my debut authors. I have no idea what I read that was a debut, lol!

    1. I create (and then delete) yearly shelves. I also put it in my reading tracker. I find certain stats interesting.
