Sloth Choice Awards - Favorite New-to-Me Authors

It's time to celebrate my year in books. I will be spreading my favorites throughout a bunch of categories, but these are all favorites. For more of my favorites, check out my Five Star Friday posts. Today I will be sharing.....
Favorite New-to-Me Authors!

Finding new authors to love is always fun. Obviously, a debut author will be new-to-me, but as I previously mentioned, there are tons of books out there that I have yet to read. I logged 125 new-to-me authors/books on my read-shelf. I am pretty impressed!

  1. Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
  2. Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan
  3. The Life Intended by Kristin Harmel
  4. If Cats Disappeared From the World by Genki Kawamura
  5. Savor It by Tarah DeWitt
  1. Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle
  2. Summertime Punchline by Betty Corrello
  3. After Annie by Anna Quindlen
  4. Good Material by Dolly Alderton
  5. The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh

  2. Claire Keegan, Kristin Harmel and Courtney Walsh are all authors I have read and enjoyed. 125 new to you authors is a lot. I bet that added a lot of books to you TBR shelf, Sam.

    1. The 125 are all new authors I read this year. Most I stumble upon at the library, so they aren't always books I seek out, but the results have been great for me.

    1. There are an endless number of authors out there. I guess it's good that my favorite-must-read-authors only put out like one book a year.

  4. I haven't read anything by any of these authors! And I don't think any of these are even on my tbr. But there's a couple that caught my eye so I'll have to check them out.

  5. I haven't read any of these even if at least 60% of my books were by "new to me "authors!

  6. That is a lot of new-to-you authors! I'm kind of surprised by Kristin Harmel - she's been around awhile!

    1. I have seen her historicals around, and I don't really read historicals. When I stumbled upon The Life Intended at the library, I knew that would be a good fit for me. I went back and read How to Save a Life, too. Those are more my speed.

    1. Out on a Limb was so lovely. There was this very meaningful moment where the hero's reaction moved me to tears. It was a feel-good book. Highly recommend.
