The Great Outdoors!
Happy Tuesday! I really don't have any bookish brags, so I decided to do my own thing this week. I recently finished a book, and it almost made me want to be an outdoorsy person. The setting was so vivid and inviting, I could *almost* see myself there. Below are ten books that expertly brought me outdoors. They were set on farms, ranches, vineyards, and in the woods, and all sounded amazing to me.

The Rebel Blue Ranch series definitely makes me want to visit a ranch!

DeleteThere have been so many books this year with a wilderness/remote setting. I'm thinking of the new Liz Moore and Kimi Cunningham Grant books, but that's just to name a couple of them.

DeleteI am possibly the least outdoorsy person ever but on occasion a fictional setting is so enchanting that I do enjoy it. :) For example, Shalvis has a way of making me appreciate the beauty of Tahoe even though it's not like I'm rushing to visit. lol
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great that we can enjoy it from a distance? Her love for Tahoe definitely shines through in her books. She does a great job pulling me into that setting every time.

DeleteNice topic, Sam. I have Catch and Keep and The Christmas You Found Me both coming up soon. I loved The Bright Spot as well. Only 2 others on my TBR, but some of the others look interesting.

The outdoors is great from behind a screen or glass. Though I will admit, it has its moments.
DeleteI loved the setting of the Lovelight Farms series, too! Also, Jill Shalvis' stories! She sets them in a fictional town near Lake Tahoe and I think of Truckee, with a cute historic downtown, which is the town where she lives.
ReplyDeleteI was just agreeing with Tanya about Shalvis and the way she pulls you into the setting. Her love for that part of California is evident.
DeleteI love when an author can really capture the awesomeness of the outdoors! I've only read one of these so far, but Business Casual is on hold.
