Top Ten Tuesday - The Comeback Kid

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

The Comeback Kid!

Happy Tuesday! This week, the topic was redemption. There are so many ways to spin this topic. As written, it seems to relate to a character who you didn't like but eventually redeemed themselves. But it could also be about redemption arcs in stories, and what is better than a character redeeming themself by means of a comeback. I love a good comeback story. I find someone hitting rock bottom and rising from the ashes to be quite inspiring. The following ten books featuring a character who had to wage some kind of comeback, and I enjoyed them all very much.

  1. Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  2. This Music of Bees by Eileen Garvin
  3. Bear Town by Fredrik Backman
  4. Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey
  5. Happiness for Beginners by Katherine Center
  1. Play for Me by Libby Hubscher
  2. Once More with Feeling by Elissa Sussman
  3. The Art of Catching Feelings by Alicia Thompson
  4. Jenny James is Not a Disaster by Debbie Johnson
  5. Recipe for a Charmed Life by Rachel Linden
