Dazzling Debuts!
Happy Tuesday! Today we are talking about debuts. I used to read so many debuts, but I find that is no longer the case. Regardless, I decided to go with the straight forward definition of debut - the author's first book which was released this year. My count at this point is 20, but when I was looking through them, I realized how many were really great for me. Without further ado, here are ten debuts that stood out to me this year.
- Love, Me by Jessica Saunders
- Summertime Punchline by Betty Corrello
- The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers by Samuel Burr
- How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang
- Four Weekends and a Funeral by Ellie Palmer
- The Happiness Blueprint by Ally Zetterberg
- One Last Shot by Betty Cayouette
- Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame by Olivia Ford
- Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle
- Birding with Benefits by Sarah T. Dubb

Great list! I haven't read any of these but I'm pretty sure I added How to End A Love Story and Just Some Stupid Love Story to my TBR after reading your reviews for them. I can't wait to check them out 😍
ReplyDeleteSo much pressure! But I stand behind both books.
DeleteI honestly don't really know most of the time if a book is a debut! Obviously if it's an author I've read before, I would know, but for others I'd have to go back and look. I haven't read any of these, but it's always nice to find new authors!
ReplyDeleteIt's something I track for the end of the year, so I have it handy. I really should have made a temp shelf in GR because that is easier and what I do for a lot of other things I track.
DeleteThe Fellowship of Puzzlemakers makes my list too!
ReplyDeleteThe found family element in that story was perfection
DeleteLoved the list. They are all new to me.
ReplyDeleteGlad to introduce you
DeleteThe Fellowship of the Puzzle Makers was indeed amazing!
ReplyDeleteSo good! Glad you enjoyed it as well.
DeleteI am so super impressed that you have read 20 debuts from this year alone!
ReplyDeleteI seem to read less and less each year, but I have been really lucky with the ones I have selected.
DeleteGreat list! I keep seeing the Fellowship of Puzzlemakers everywhere and it looks right up my street - will have to give it a read some time soon.
ReplyDeleteIf you like found family and great personal journeys, I think you would enjoy Puzzlemakers.
