1. Until I See You Again - In both Just Some Stupid Love Story and Once Upon a Leap Year, the characters continue to stay in each others orbits though the timing was never right for the romances to take off. 
2. Until We Meet Again - The characters keep meeting at specific intervals. In Once Upon a Leap Year, the characters are reunited every four years for their "big" birthday, while the characters in Summer After Summer keep finding each other at five year intervals. 
3. Tennis Comebacks - The main characters in Summer After Summer and Carrie Soto Is Back return to tennis to rebuild their careers. 
4. Return of a rising star - Carrie Soto and Wells Whitaker from Fangirl Down are both on a comeback tour in their respective books. 
5. Golf Romance - Fangirl Down and Kiss My Putt are both sports romances where the athletes are golfers. 
6. Keeping a low profile - The heroes in Kiss My Putt and More than a Feeling returned home after some bad PR to allow the situation to die down.
