Six Degrees of Separation - Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young

Six Degrees of Separation is hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavoriteandbest. A book is selected each month as the starting point for us to link to six other books. I go a bit rouge by selecting my own book from the previous months’ Five Star Friday, but still maintain the spirit of the meme.

This Month's Book

Out on a Limb
 by Hannah Bonam-Young
Published on July 11, 2023
Age/Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
four-half-stars

Winnifred "Win" McNulty has always been wildly independent. Not one to be coddled for her limb difference, Win has spent most of her life trying to prove that she can do it all on her own. And, with some minor adjustments, she's done just fine.

That is until she has a one-night stand with the incredibly charming Bo, a perfect stranger. And that one night changes everything.

While Bo is surprisingly elated to step upto the plate, Win finds herself unsure of whether she can handle this new challenge on her own or if she’ll need a helping hand.

Together, Win and Bo decide to get to know one another as friends and nothing more. But, as they both should know by now, life rarely goes according to plan.

  1. Out on a Limb involved an accidental pregnancy as did Ready or Not
  2. Ready or Not is a best-friend's-brother romance, same as Fix Her Up.
  3. In Fix Her Up, they do home renovations which was also a big part of Maggie Moves On.
  4. Maggie Moves On had an interesting historical subplot and so did Something Wilder.
  5. Something Wilder takes place in Utah, same as In a Holidaze.
  6. In a Holidaze is a time-loop story similar to The Deja Glitch

  1. I've read and enjoyed a couple of these - great connections! Love the Utah connection for the Christina Lauren books.

    1. CLo set quite a few of their books in Utah. I can usually depend on them to help me check that state off.

    1. I listened to all of Bonam-Young's books. They were great. Out on a Limb and the last one I read with the bus (can't remember the title) had the BEST heroes! She does cinnamon rolls so well.

  3. Interesting connections you thought of for Out on Limb! I read Out on Limb after reading your review (and a couple others) for it. Thanks for the recommendation! I've only read 2 of your connection books, so I should add the rest to my TBR pile.

  5. I loved Something Wilder! I thought it was such a fresh and fun take on a second chance romance. The whole historical/treasure hunt plot? Great fun!

    1. There was one plot point that took the com out of rom-com, but I liked it a whole lot more than I thought I would since I am not a big action/adventure reader. I should have just trusted in my love for CLo
