I Mean to Read That!
Every year, I share many books that I hope to read. I know I will never be able to read them all, but a girl can dream. Without being specific, I want to read my own books. I have gotten a bit better with this, trying to include more shelf books on my weekly TBR. But for this post, I went back through the books that were added to my TBR in 2023 that I still have an interest in. Some have not been read because I don't have access, but some I simply need to make time for.
- All Alone with You by Amelia Diane Coombs
- How to Be Remembered by Michael Thompson
- The Darlings by Hannah McKinnon
- Mayhem in Circulation by Leah Dobrinska
- Esme Cahill Fails Spectacularly by Marie Bostwick
- The Paris Novel by Ruth Reichl
- Technically Yours by Denise Williams
- Every Time You Go Away by Abigail Johnson
- A Wish for Christmas by Courtney Cole
- Secrets of Starshine Cove by Debbie Johnson
Which book should I read?

I always include a lot of anticipated books that I know I logically won't be able to read. It's nice to hope though!
ReplyDeleteI had started showing mostly books I had access to. Because of that, I do read most of my anticipating and CWW picks. I also cull my lists often. I think that is why I struggle a bit with this.
DeleteI've enjoyed Courtney Cole's Christmas books - I'd go for that one, even if it is a bit "out of season"!
ReplyDeleteHoliday books are never out of season in my opinion. You are the first person I know who read. Yeah!
DeleteWhile it's easy to get my head turned by all the shiny new releases, I make a real effort to read from my own shelves. There are so many books on my bookshelves and my Kindle that I am truly excited to read. Hopefully we'll both make that a priority this year.
ReplyDeleteI should try harder, though I don't buy many books. Most of books I read are from the library. I have some books, but I am not sure if I am still interested in some of them, you know
DeleteI hope you are able to really enjoy these here. I have seen good things for Denise Williams so hope you enjoy that one.
ReplyDeleteI have read a few books by Williams. They were all great.
DeleteTechnically Yours is one I meant to read as well. Maybe this year? I bet you get to all of these. You're good at getting those backlist books read.
ReplyDeleteMy loan came through and I didn't have the time to read it. I will try again (someday)
DeleteYou have a few here that I would have liked to pick up myself. Hope you enjoy them once you get the chance to pick them up.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I will get to them, but we have to hold onto hope, right?
DeleteSince I've been trying to read more of what I own I didn't have too many 2023 books on my radar but I am enjoying picking up books to check out later when I get more caught up and some of these look good!
ReplyDeleteI actually only have access (via the library) to about half those books. So, who knows how many I will actually read. It's great you are reading your own books. I know I have found some spectacular books sitting on my shelves.
DeleteI definitely want to read more of the books that I own this year too. Gotta get through them, or pass them along.

I did a big clean out of physical books years ago. I knew, in my heart, I didn't want to read them. My kindle is another story. Good luck reading your books!
DeleteOh my goodness, I love that cover for A WISH FOR CHRISTMAS! It's gorgeous. I'll have to check that one out when we get back around to the holidays. I hope you enjoy all these when you get to them.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Thursday)!
That cover made me look twice. I love holiday books no matter the time of year. They always make me happy
DeleteAh, yes, Technically Yours is one that I meant to get to in 2023 as well. I hope to get to it sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteHopefully one of us reads it
DeleteThere are books that got lost in the shuffle for me last year too. I hope you love all on your list, Sam!
ReplyDeleteThat's every year. We can't read them all
DeleteEvery week I tell myself that I need to read the books I already own and not buy more books but...
ReplyDeleteWe cannot resist the shiny and new
DeleteI think all of these are new to me! Although I recognize some authors. I hope you get to pick up some of them soon!
ReplyDeleteThe library has four of them, so I am hopeful for those
