Spell the Month in Books - September 2023

Spell the Month in Books is hosted by Reviews From the Stacks. The goal is to spell the current month with the first letter of book titles, excluding articles such as 'the' and 'a' as needed.

Three Es, really September? That was the challenge this month, but I was able to find some great Es to feature.

S - Snowed in for Christmas by Jacqueline Snowe -

E - Escape to Starshine Cove by Debbie Johnson -

P - Perfect Distraction by Allison Ashley -

T - The Takedown by Carlie Walker -

E - Exes & O's by Amy Lea -

M - My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine -

B - The Blonde Identity by Ally Carter - ★ 1/2

E - Everything After by Jill Santopolo - ★ 1/2

R - The Roommate Pact by Allison Ashley -

How would you spell the month?

  1. Three E's had to make it tricky but you nailed it. :) I think the only author I've read of these is Jill Santopolo.

    1. Santopolo seems to have lovers and haters and not much in between. She does some things in her books that I can see putting off some readers, but she always built the case for me. Then it was kind of OK.

  2. Now we're getting into the really long months! My Roommate is a Vampire is one I want to get to this fall.

    1. That book was cute. I felt like it could have done without the nefarious plot part, but overall, I had a great time reading it. Hope you do too

  3. Every time I see you do this, I swear I'm going to do it too - then I don't lol

I've been curious about My Neighbor is a Vampire. I love the retro-ish cover.

    1. It was cute, and I can get the retro cover as the premise is Frederick waking up from a very long coma trying to adapt to modern times. Those parts were so fun

  4. Well that's a fun one. All of those books are new to me too.

  5. Great lay out of the books that you picked out for this. I haven't read any of these. I have heard good things about the Ally Carter though.

    1. I read Ally Carter's YA books and was really impressed with her adult debut. It had that classic Carter feel for an older audience.

  6. E is always tricky, but you nailed it. I've only read two of these, so I have lots to check out.

    1. I had to go deep for the Es. Every month from here on out has Es too!

  7. How fun is that! Though I don't think I could manage to read that many books in one month. You picked some good ones.
