I am picky about my enemies-to-lovers books, but I was drawn to this rom-com. It's a workplace set up, and both hero and heroine want to shine on this project in order to get the things they THINK they want. I anticipate some sparkling banter with two highly intelligent leads, but I am also curious about how their dreams change.

Everyone loves TJR, and I had finally read my first book by her not too long ago. This is one of her older books that has been on my TBR for a long while. It popped up recently in my Goodreads feed, and it seemed like a sign.
This premise broke my heart. I couldn't imagine being a young widow, trying to heal, and then my dead husband is found - ALIVE! BUT this is what happened to Emma. In the meantime, she had moved on, and now she was left with a husband, a fiancé, and a big choice. My heart is breaking! There will be tears for sure.

Love Interest sounds good, but I am a fan of enemies to lovers. However, I'm one of the few that aren't big TJR fans. I do want to try Daisy Jones and the Six, though.
ReplyDeleteMy first TJR book was Carrie Soto. I had no interest in Daisy Jones or Evelyn Hugo. But her older books had some appeal with One True Loves being on my TBR. It was really good.
DeleteSuch a hard choice for Emma! She really has to look at herself and be honest about who she is.

DeleteI saw the TJR one and thought it was new at first. I've only one read one of her older ones. Well, I started Hugo too and still need to finish!!
ReplyDeleteI think it could be her debut. Hugo didn't intrigue me, nor did Daisy and the Six, but I loved Carrie Soto and this one too.

ReplyDeleteI am not drawn to all her stories, but this had been on my TBR for a long time. It's a very me story, and it was wonderful
DeleteI think I've already mentioned, but OTL was my first by TJR. And still a favorite. Very different from her style now, but man did it ever put my heart through the wringer.
ReplyDeleteI kind of bookended her catalog - I read the first and the most recent. I was a mess, but it did end the way I wanted it to.
DeleteLove Interest looks good. I read one story by TJR and hated it. Since then I've been apprehensive about picking up her work. Maybe someday. Glad to see you loved it!
ReplyDeleteCurious which TJR book you read. I have no interest in Evelyn Hugo or Daisy and the Six, but her older titles call to me, and Carrie Soto was phenomenal.
