My Week in Review
This weekend is the send-off to summer. I will not miss it, but I will gladly accept the three-day weekend. I told you, only 4-day work weeks for the rest of the year. I really shouldn't allow myself to get used to having all this time. I find myself not using my time as well as I used to and KNOW it's going to be really hard returning to work (when that day comes). I have a feeling I may be home for the rest of the year, because my company extended the day care expense reimbursement until December 31st. I miss a few of my co-workers, but I am not sad to be home.
I know a lot of people have been saying they are slumping, but my reading is going great. I am knocking out the same number of books per week PLUS I keep finding amazing books on my TBR. I have been terrible about writing reviews, and I am challenging myself to write five reviews this weekend before I allow myself to read another book.

Another fantastic reading week! All these books were really wonderful. I did have my heard ripped out by Heather T. Smith, but I still found Barry Squires to be a magnificent middle grades book.

Holidaze is really fun. I am about 60% through, and it's hitting some nice rom-com notes and capturing that Christmastime warmth.
My daughter sent this to me, and I have to say, I love it!

Just one approval this week, The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling by Wai Chim, but I am really excited about it. First of all, I hardly get any ARCs from Scholastic, so this is some sort of miracle, but it's also a book I have been wanting to read for a long time. This has been out overseas for a while, and I read so many amazing reviews for it. Needless to say, I cannot wait to get to it.
