It's been one crazy winter, and I know that I am looking forward to most of the things that arrive with spring. I look forward to the longer and warmer days, and all the green popping up around us. I could do without the allergies, but sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. I am also looking forward to many, many spring 2019 book releases. I have a gazillion books I want to read this spring, so narrowing it down was tough, but I think I selected books, that will be 5-star reads for me.
- The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston
- When Summer Ends by Jessica Pennington
- Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett
- How Not to Ask a Boy to Prom by S.J. Goslee
- Brief Chronicle of Another Stupid Heartbreak by Adi Alsaid
- Love From A to Z by S.K. Ali
- With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
- There's Something About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon
- Fake It Till You Break It by Jenn P. Nguyen
- Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian
Serious Moonlight looks exactly like my kinda book! I bought The Anatomical Shape of a Heart a few years ago and I still need to pick that one up. Then I always struggle....do I read the one that's new or the older books that has been sitting on my shelf? Such a hard decision lol. Have tons of fun reading all of these books!

All Bennett's books are exactly my kind of book. She writes great characters and great stories. ASoaH was so good. Starry Eyes is still my fave, but all were solid reads, even her paranormals. I have a run of ARCs, because of approvals I wasn't expecting, but once they slow down, I am selecting some pairs for my One Old, One New feature to get to some shelf books.
DeleteAll the books on your list look cute!!! I have never read an Adi Alsaid book, but I've always wanted to!! I met him twice at book festivals and he seems very nice. Also, I didn't realize GEEKERELLA was getting a 2nd book-- but I knew what that was the second I saw the cover!! It's so goes with the first book!
ReplyDeleteI like Alsaid. I read his last book, and am planning on reading the other two, because my daughter said they were good. I squeed like a fangirl when I saw Geekerella was getting a companion, and I heard it's just as happy inducing as the first book.
DeleteSerious Moonlight is one I want to read, and her Starry eyes as well. That one especially appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteBennett books are always a good thing.
DeleteYes to all things spring!! I can't wait. Serious Moonlight was adorable!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I love all that is adorable, and that's what I expect, when I pick up a Bennett contemporary - adorable, but with depth.
DeleteGreat list! I just finished Serious Moonlight last night and thought it was really cute. There's Something about Sweetie made my list too and I didn't include them since I didn't get approved for ARCs, but I'll probably read Love from A to Z and The Princess and the Fangirl too.
ReplyDeleteI only included books I have. I have many on my wishlist though 😁
DeleteI love how cheerful these book covers make me! I hope these are all great reads for you!
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a cover ho, and the artist have been making me want to read every book I see lately.
DeleteLooks like some good books! I'm really curious about Like a Love Story too.

Love Story is set in the 80s. The combination of that fact and how much I enjoyed the author's last book has me really wanting to read it
DeleteI'm ready for Spring but can't complain because we really haven't had a horrible winter. Like you, I have WAY too many books I want to read. Hope you love these and I love that little graphic at the top!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get much snow, but it's been cold, and I long to feel warm again
DeleteI’m excited for spring, too. I’m very ready to not be freezing all the time. I hope you enjoy these books!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
That one warm day last week was heaven. I don't like to be hot, but it would be wonderful to be able to warm up again
DeleteI'm so curious about With the Fire on High.
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday post.
I thought Acevedo's debut was incredible, so I have some high expectations for her new release
DeleteThe cover art on With the Fire on High is absolutely beautiful! I love all those colours together.
ReplyDeleteTTT: Books on my Spring TBR.
Fantastic cover! I like how strong the character looks too.
DeleteThe little spring-ish hedgehog is so adorable. :) Serious Moonlight sounds so, so good. And it doesn't hurt that I just read a fabulous review so now I'm even more excited for it.
ReplyDeleteYou know hedgehogs own me. Have you read any of Bennett's books? I can't remember, but I do think you would like them
DeleteOnly one so far - Alex, Approximately. And I definitely want more. :)
DeleteStarry Eyes was even better and The Anatomical Shape of a Heart was also too fabulous. I think you would like her Roaring Twenties books too. They are historical paranormal romances, and carry all the signature Bennett touches, but in a more adult way.
DeleteHistorical paranormal romances? I am so checking those out! :)
DeleteThey have some of the audiobooks on Hoopla (at least for my library). They were fun to listen to
DeleteSo glad to see Serious Moonlight made it to your Spring tbr too, there's always something about Jenn's books that brings a smile to my face! There's so many other books that you've mentioned that I've not heard of before, I will definitely be checking some of them out!
ReplyDeleteAll her books are so good. I have even read, and really enjoyed, a few of her paranormals
DeleteI'd love to read There's Something about Sweetie too! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteI am such a fan of Menon's books, and I like that we are returning to WDMR's world
DeleteWhelp, I'm not looking forward to Spring. Spring for me means closer to summer, which means well... I can't really do anything aside from reading and blogging (I sweat everywhere and bring the mold otherwise). I recently got approved for Fake It Till You Break It and I'M SO EXCITED AHHHH.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of summer, but I probably would be if I was still in school. I hope we both live Fake It
DeleteI am so excited for Love from A to Z. I need the price to drop so I can preorder already. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a chance to read it, because I know you were a fan of Ali's debut
DeleteSerious Moonlight sounds so cute!
ReplyDeleteAll Bennett's books are so good, and it's just another plus that it sounds fun too
DeleteAll of these look fun and perfect for the start of spring. Happy reading:)
ReplyDeleteFun is something I am always looking for in my books
DeleteSo much goodness to look forward to! I hope you enjoy them!!
ReplyDeleteI am confident they will all be hits
DeleteI've seen a ton of hype for The Princess and the Fangirl! I hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteI adored Geekerella. It just made me so happy. I am beyond excited to return to that world
DeleteI need to read a Sandhya Menon book before I meet her next month. She's speaking at two literature/writing conferences I'm going to in April. I've never been to one before, and I get to go to two! But I really should read one of her books...
ReplyDeleteThe conference sounds awesome. I hope you get a lot out of it
DeleteI`m so excited for Acevedo`s latest book, since "The Poet X" was one of my favourite books of 2018. Fake It Till You Break It sounds good as well.
ReplyDeleteCarmen`s Reading Corner
The Poet X was so good, and I liked Nguyen's last book So I think Fake It will be a hit for me
DeleteI don't know why Sam but the cover of Like a Love Story is really appealing to me. I haven't read the synopsis but will now head to Goodreads! Sophie @bewareofthereader
ReplyDeleteIt set when I was a teen, so I am really curious
DeleteLOL, Gazillion. I thought I was the only one that used that word. Yes, it will be nice when it's just warm - no cold! =)
ReplyDeleteMary
I don't like it too warm, but above freezing in the morning would be nice
DeleteNice list! Most of these look like light, fun, Spring-ish reads. SERIOUS MOONLIGHT looks especially adorable. I need to read it.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I prefer my books on the lighter side, but I have yet to read any YA without some depth. Jenn Bennett is always a good bet. Her books are fabulous.
DeleteThe Princess and The Fangirl, The Fire On High nad also the new Menon book are all ones on my radar as well. Spring time is the perfect time for some lovely, happy contemporary reads. I hope you can get around to all of these x
ReplyDeleteI just finished Princess the other day. So cute and fun and it was great being back at the con. I am hoping Poston writes more books set in this world.
DeleteOoooh you have some great looking reads on this TBR. I'm super excited to see what you think of With the Fire on High and Love from A to Z. Wonderful post, and hope you get to all of them! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth those authors dazzled me with their last books, and these sound just as incredible.
