In the Library!
So, we are supposed to talk about libraries we love or want to visit, but I honestly don't have such a list, therefore, I am talking about books I enjoyed or want to read, which also happened to feature libraries or bookstores.
READ
- Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
- In Your Shoes by Donna Gephart
- The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
- Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn, David Levithan
- Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley
WANT TO READ
- The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald
- The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
- Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
- The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
Fangirl❤ I also really liked The Time Traveler's Wife. Ink and Bone is on my TBR. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteI have not finished the Caine series, but it is really good
DeleteThis is such a good spin on the original topic. Great picks for this list!
ReplyDeleteYeah. I had to spin it since I had no list of libraries to visit 😂
DeleteWords in Deep Blue is probably my favorite book that takes place in a bookstore. It was so amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt really was a great book. Total perfection for me
DeleteLove Fangirl, and I still need to read Ink and Bone. I also want to read The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald - it seems like a cute one! I love books that feature bookstores or libraries. Another I'd recommend is Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore - it's a mystery!

I think I read a review for Midnight. It sounds really good
DeleteI've only read Dash & Lily but it was adorable and I did get to visit The Strand!
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Dash and Lily is a favorite of mine, and I try to visit The Strand when I am down in that part of the city
DeleteOoh, I love Fangirl. The plot of that book is basically the plot of my real life in college. I liked The Time Traveler’s Wife, too.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
You never fail to crack me up. I had seen The Time traveller's Wife and it's one of the few adaptations I am still interested in reading
DeleteI have Fangirl on my Kindle, I really need to read it one day.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I really enjoyed Fangirl and would love more of Cath and Levi ❤
DeleteI've read Fangirl and Mr. Penumbra's on your list, and I really want to try Dash and Lily's cause it just sounds like such a cute, fun story. :)
ReplyDeleteDash and Lily was fun. Levithan often features NYC, which is where I grew up, and Dash and Lily make their way all over the city. A definite favorite of mine
DeleteEven better, I can visit your library choices myself. I have read several of these on your lists and loved them. A few more are still on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteYes, a visit to some fictional libraries could be fun
DeleteI love your take on this week's topic! I admit it took me awhile to figure this one out. XD I really need to read Ink and Bone soon. It looks so good!
ReplyDeleteThe Great Library is another series I need to finish, but I did really enjoy Ink and Bone.
DeleteI love books about books and bookstores! Despite the fact that I work at a bookstore, I can't ever get enough (my boss can't handle books about bookstores because it frustrates her how easy it make makes running a bookstore look, lol). I had trouble with this theme too!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday
In hindsight, I wish I had gotten my masters in Library Science instead of science education, because it would be the perfect job for me. I could see a book about your job, which makes your job look easier than it is, can be really frustrating. (believe me, I know. I used to be a teacher)
DeleteI like your take on the topic! I can't think of any other books off the top of my head, but The Time Traveler's Wife is a good one!
ReplyDeleteTTW is one of the few books I still want to read after seeing the movie. I loved the story.
DeleteI remember loving The Truth About Forever when I was younger! I had a problem this week trying to come up with a list too. Instead of libraries/bookstores I'd like to visit, I wrote my TTT on one of the fabulous libraries I've visited: Trinity College!
ReplyDeleteI have been to Trinity, and was excited to see it on so many lists. I probably should have gone with places I had been. It would have been a shorter list, but I could have come up with something.
DeleteI LOVED Fangirl. You're the second person to list Words in Deep Blue and it sounds like an interesting book.
ReplyDeleteWords in Deep Blue was SO GOOD! I fell in love with Cath Crowley via that book, and have zero regrets about it. I am so happy I found it, because it's totally a "me" book.
DeleteLove your take on the topic. I've been meaning to pick up Ink and Bone for years. The world sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it. The alternate future stuff was really great and contributed to a very interesting world.
DeleteI love your twiste on this meme Sam!
ReplyDeleteHad to twist. I had nothing for the actual topic. 😂
DeleteFangirl has been on my TBR forever. Hopefully, I`ll get to it before the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteCarmen`s Reading Corner
I hope you get to it. Cath and Levi are one of my favorite couples
DeleteYeah I don't have a list of libraries or bookstores as I know I'll never see them! Seems a waste of time to think about them!
ReplyDeleteI had actually visited a few people featured, which surprised me. It was fun looking at all the lovely pictures.
DeleteOf your list, I've read and enjoyed both Ink and Bone and The Time Traveller's Wife, might have to check the others out.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/16/top-ten-tuesday-181/
I really need to catch up with the Great Library books
DeleteFun spin on this week's topic. Words in Deep Blue is definitely my favorite book set in a bookstore. Love it so much!
ReplyDeleteThis was a desperate attempt at the topic, but thanks. WiDB is such a favorite of mine. I love screaming about that book and the epic bookstore Crowley created.
DeleteI loved Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore and The Time Traveler's Wife - I hope you enjoy them. :)
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
Both look awesome. I have seen the film of TTW, and the fact that I still want to read it speaks volume for how great the story is.
