How Have I NOT Read This Book!
Today I am berating myself for those books by my favorite authors that are still unread. I have a healthy list of go-to authors, and of course, I want to read all their books, but for one reason or another, these have slipped through the cracks. I may make this another challenge for myself, and try to read all ten before the end of the year.

A.S. King fast became one of my favorites for magical realism. Her magical elements are always interesting and used brilliantly, and her books are also really thought provoking.
Emery Lord

Publisher: Bloomsbury USA
I put this book on my TBR in 2014, bought it in 2016, listed it as a book I would read in 2017. Well you know what? 2018 is the year I will read it! (I swear.)
Emma Mills

I had previously talked about wanting to read something by Mills. When I finally did, it was not a book I owned, but I did fall in love with her writing, and am committed to reading more of it.

I was fortunate enough to get an ARC of Alex, Approximately, and I became an instant fan of Bennett's. I picked this book as my prize, when I won the Discussion Challenge, and am really excited that I can finally read it.

I went gaga over Crowley's Words in Deep Blue, and went on a buying binge procuring all of her US ebooks. So far, none have been disappointing, but my goal is to read them all.

JES sits on my original list of go-to authors, which has grown since I started blogging. She writes the perfect YA contemporaries, and I have only this book unread. I did nab it during a sale, and am eager to say I read them all.
Katie Cotugno

I know a lot of people are split on their love for Cotugno, but mine is solid. She won me as a loyal fan, when she wrote that stupendous follow-up to 99 Days, and I am determined to read all her books.
Gayle Forman

Publisher: HarperTeen
I adore Forman, and this is the final book of her's I need to read. I believe this was Forman's first book, and it could be fun looking back at where she began and seeing how her style has evolved since then.
Jessi Kirby

Publisher: Simon & Schuster
My first Kirby book was ok, but each subsequent has been nothing short of amazing. I fell in love with her stories, and went on a buying binge. So, now I have a bunch of her backlist, and shall read them all.
Julie Buxbaum
Series: n/a
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Buxbaum caught my interest with Tell Me Three Things, and solidified my adoration with her adult books. I cried when I was denied a galley for this book, but bought it during a recent sale, and am excited to complete her catalog before her next release.

I recognize a lot of these as I read more and more YA contemps, slowly but surely. I enjoyed the Cotugno book I read, and Kirby too. Would definitely read more from both of those authors. What To Say Next just looks good to me.

DeleteI'm so with you on What to Say Next. Like you, I even own the book, and it still hasn't happened. I'm sure I'll love it, it has great reviews... so what am I waiting for? Classic case of too many books and not enough time. Womp womp.

DeleteI honestly see a few that I have not read either on your list! I find it so hard to fit in the backlist books sometimes, but I am trying harder this year. I just finished reading Open Road Summer not too long ago and I highly suggest it. :)

DeleteThis is a great list, Sam! A Little Wanting Song is absolutely gorgeous, and as you've loved Crowley's other books, I'm sure you'll adore this! The Anatomical Shape of a Heart is actually called Night Owls in the UK, and oh my god, it's so good! I really need to read Alex, Approximately, though, I'm behind!

DeleteAll totally new to me ones here! It seems to be so easy to fall behind on even our favorite authors! Authors write too quickly! And there's too many of them to stay caught up with all of them! Lol!

I am going to try her adult series on audio. I "met" Buxbaum via her YA books, and fell in love with her adult books as well.

DeleteI have not read any of these yet either. I have had What to Say Next on my bookshelf since shortly after the books release so I have no excuses for that one. I hope you enjoy these when you do get around to them.
