Can't-Wait Wednesday: Odd One Out - Nic Stone

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I can't wait for Odd One Out!

Odd One Out
Nic Stone
Series: n/a
Release Date: October 9, 2018
Publisher: Crown Books for Young Readers
Waited on by: Sam
From the New York Times bestselling author of Dear Martin comes this illuminating exploration of old friendships, new crushes, and the path to self-discovery.

Courtney "Coop" Cooper Dumped. Again. And normally I wouldn't mind. But right now, my best friend and source of solace, Jupiter Sanchez, is ignoring me to text some girl.

Rae Evelyn Chin I assumed "new girl" would be synonymous with "pariah," but Jupiter and Courtney make me feel like I'm right where I belong. I also want to kiss him. And her. Which is . . . perplexing.

Jupiter Charity-Sanchez The only thing worse than losing the girl you love to a boy is losing her to your boy. That means losing him, too. I have to make a move. . . .

One story. Three sides. No easy answers.

So, Tim Gun pretty much sums up why I want to read this book. It sounds like there is going to be a LOT of delicious drama, and you know, sometimes I like a little drama in my life. I am also drawn to this book, because of the focus on friendship. Yeah, the friendship dynamics sound really complicated, but I am eager to explore these relationships. I see a promise of self-discovery in the synopsis as well, which this girl is a big fan of. It's always such a thrill for me to see someone reach a good place in their life and be at peace with who they are.

What are you waiting on?

    1. Tim Gun is the best. I wish his show would come back, because that is a man, who understands women, and accepts all women. I am obviously a fan of his. 😝

    1. I am sure it won't be all drama, because it sounds like romance and friendship are major elements too.

    1. It's all about the payoff, and I agree, I think it will be well worth any drama incurred.

  17. It definitely does sound like there is going to be some drama going down here. Especially with the sort of love triangle but sort of not because well, it's already said and done and she has made up her choice. It's more the aftermath of a love triangle really :P

  18. I am ok 1.3 with triangles. But am definitely more interested in the friendship dynamics
