Five on My TBR - Foodie Fiction

I love any opportunity to feature more books and found this meme an interesting way to take a look at my TBR. I hope to also get some feedback from you. Should I keep these books on my TBR? Should I push them up the list? Without further ado, below are five books that feature food in the title and/or story. 



Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant
 by Anne Tyler
Abandoned by her wanderlusting husband, stoic Pearl raised her three children on her own. Now grown, the siblings are inextricably linked by their memories—some painful—which hold them together despite their differences.

The House on Mango Street

The House on Mango Street is one of the most cherished novels of the last fifty years. The Family Recipe

A whip-smart family dramedy about estranged siblings competing to inherit their father’s Vietnamese sandwich franchise and unravel family mysteries.

Duc Tran, the eccentric founder of the national Vietnamese sandwich chain Duc’s Sandwiches, has decided to retire.   1. I just finished Three Days in June by Ann Tyler and I really enjoyed it even though I wanted just a little more with the ending. I'd like to read more by her I'll add so Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant to my TBR.

    1. I think I was so happy at the end of June that I didn't care. I loved where she took that story. I am a sap who lives for that stuff.

  2. I love all books about food! I tend to keep them on the back burner and pull them out when I need a comfort read.
