Top Ten Tuesday - I Meant to Read That

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I Meant to Read That!

Happy Tuesday! I have a love/hate relationship with this post. I love getting a chance to look back on my CWW posts and Most Anticipated Release posts, but I feel a bit of disappointment when I see how many of these books I did not read. Some I had no access to, but others I had purchased. Those are the ones I am frustrated about. Below are ten books I was excited about last year but never read AND I hope to read this year.
  1. When We Had Forever by Shaylin Gandhi
  2. Tired Ladies Take a Stand by Gretchen Anthony
  3. A Happier Life by Kristy Woodson Harvey
  4. The Wedding People by Alison Espach
  5. A Home for the Holidays by Taylor Hahn
  1. The Second Chance by Charlotte Butterfield
  2. Learning to Swim by Shayla Dugan
  3. The Summer of Perfect Mistakes by Cynthia St. Aubin
  4. The Undermining of Twyla and Frank by Megan Bannen
  5. It's All Relative by Rachel Magee

What books did you mean to read in 2024?

  1. So many books, so little time! I've been wanting to read The Wedding People, I just need to make time for it!

    1. I had The Wedding People from the library but ran out on my loan before getting to it. You know the holds always come through at once.

  2. There never seems to be enough time in the day to read all the books we want to.

  3. I read all of the books on my most anticipated lists so I had to look at my TBR shelf on Goodreads. I want to read The Wedding People and A Happier Life, too!

    1. I actually read all but one. Most of these are my CWW which are books I don't own or have access to. I just hope the library will get them.

    1. I think all of ours would! We should all make a pact to read Twyla and Frank before the next book comes out.

    1. That title - Tired Ladies Take a Stand, it calls to me. I am trying to prioritize these books. I read five books a week, it really shouldn't be that hard if I have the book.

  7. I did read The Wedding People and though it starts off depressing, I liked how it fleshed out. You have an interesting list here, Sam. Some that are also on my TBR. So many books, too little time.

  8. What I regret is not buying The Wedding People when I saw it going for 99p (for weeks!) at the end of 2024 because it hadn't yet piqued my interest. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Haha, while part of me (a very small part) is glad that I didn't buy it cos one less book on the TBR, I still wish I did. I do have Twyla & Frank on my list though. I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them this year, Sam!

    1. That is cheap for that book. I don't think I have seen it on sale yet.

  9. All of these have covers that make me want to read them. I hope you’re able to get to them soon.

    1. I should really try for one a month. That seems doable.
