Vacation Time!
Happy Tuesday! This week, we were supposed to focus on books featuring travel. It seems I had recently done this topic, and therefore, I decided to switch it up. When I think of travel, I think of the good kind - vacations. I combed my read shelf and found some great books that feature characters who are on vacation.
- From the Jump by Lacie Waldon - South African safari
- Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore - Maine
- Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher - Saba
- The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E. Smith - Alaskan cruise
- One Night on the Island by Josie Silver - Ireland
- People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry - Various locations
- Rules for Visiting by Jessica Francis Kane - Various Locations
- The Year of What If by Phaedra Patrick - Europe
- Jenny James Is Not a Disaster by Debbie Johnson - England
- Serendipity by Becky Chalsen - Fire Island

Great list! So many wonderful vacation spots!
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled that I had been to half, though there are some I know I will never be able to visit. At least we have books to take us there.
DeleteAll signs seem to be pointing to vacation! 😍 I haven't read any of these yet but I do have a couple on my TBR. Great take on the topic!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I hope you get to take a trip with a few soon.
DeleteWell as it's summer I love your topic!
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I don't like to travel in the summer. I hate the heat, but I love vacations.
DeleteIt's hard to read vacation books because they make me want to go on vacation. :) I can't afford that!
ReplyDeleteI know. I skipped my yearly vacation last year to save for my vacation this year. It is the highlight of my year.
DeleteGreat list, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome!
DeleteI really enjoy a vacation setting. People We Meet on Vacation was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of my faves from Henry.
DeleteWhat a colorful list! I enjoyed One Night on the Island and Meet Me in Paradise, even if it did leave me a sobbing mess!
ReplyDeleteI shed a tear just thinking about Meet Me in Paradise. It was a really beautiful story though.
DeleteThese all look fun. I love the bright, cheery covers!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Thanks!
DeleteI don't think I've ever read a book set in South Africa, so I am going to see if I can find that one, Sam. I have read a lot of the others and enjoyed them. Nice twist on this week's topic.
ReplyDeleteThe vacation part of the book is in South Africa (a good chunk), but they do go back home.
