Top Ten Tuesday - Vacation Time

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Vacation Time!

Happy Tuesday! This week, we were supposed to focus on books featuring travel. It seems I had recently done this topic, and therefore, I decided to switch it up. When I think of travel, I think of the good kind - vacations. I combed my read shelf and found some great books that feature characters who are on vacation.

  1. From the Jump by Lacie Waldon - South African safari
  2. Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore - Maine
  3. Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher - Saba
  4. The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E. Smith - Alaskan cruise
  5. One Night on the Island by Josie Silver - Ireland
  1. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry - Various locations
  2. Rules for Visiting by Jessica Francis Kane - Various Locations
  3. The Year of What If by Phaedra Patrick - Europe
  4. Jenny James Is Not a Disaster by Debbie Johnson - England
  5. Serendipity by Becky Chalsen - Fire Island

    1. I was thrilled that I had been to half, though there are some I know I will never be able to visit. At least we have books to take us there.

    1. Oddly enough, I don't like to travel in the summer. I hate the heat, but I love vacations.

  4. It's hard to read vacation books because they make me want to go on vacation. :) I can't afford that!

    1. I know. I skipped my yearly vacation last year to save for my vacation this year. It is the highlight of my year.

  8. I don't think I've ever read a book set in South Africa, so I am going to see if I can find that one, Sam. I have read a lot of the others and enjoyed them. Nice twist on this week's topic.

    1. The vacation part of the book is in South Africa (a good chunk), but they do go back home.
