Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.

The game’s afoot in the next book of the Bookish Boyfriends series—this time starring Huck and Winston! After Ms. Gregoire assigns the works of Sherlock Holmes in English class, a mystery deepens at Reginald R. Hero High. Huck and Win—Curtis’s younger brother—team up to solve the case . . . and while the sleuths gather clues, another swoon-worthy romance blooms in the school halls. Perfect for younger readers of YA or older readers of middle grade, this squeaky-clean series is sure to charm any reader who’s ever had a book boyfriend of their own.Why I want to read this book
This series is really cute, fun, and sweet. In each book, the characters are going through some sort of dilemma, and with the help of one or two classic novels, they are able to work through it all. In the previous books, all the main characters have been young women, so I was intrigued to see Schmidt spotlighting some of the young men we have met in previous installments. It seems there will also be some of sort of mystery for these two to solve, and I think it will be a fun part of the story.

When Adam Blake lands the best elective ever in his senior year, serving as an aide to the school psychologist, he thinks he’s got it made. Sure, it means a lot of sitting around, which isn’t easy for a guy with ADHD, but he can’t complain, since he gets to spend the period texting all his friends. Then the doctor asks him to track down the troubled freshman who keeps dodging her, and Adam discovers that the boy is Julian—the foster brother he hasn’t seen in five years. Why I want to read this book
Adam is ecstatic to be reunited. At first, Julian seems like the boy he once knew. He’s still kindhearted. He still writes stories and loves picture books meant for little kids. But as they spend more time together, Adam realizes that Julian is keeping secrets, like where he hides during the middle of the day, and what’s really going on inside his house. Adam is determined to help him, but his involvement could cost both boys their lives…
This book has been on my radar since I saw it on NetGalley, which was probably back in 2016. Since it's published by Disney, I was obviously rejected, but I still wanted to read it. I think I have listed it on multiple posts as a book I want to read, but it kept slipping through the cracks. My interest was renewed not too long ago when AJ posted about it (I'm pretty sure it was AJ). AJ's thoughts plus all the other tremendous reviews I have read over the years from other bloggers I followed kept my interest high for this book. I kept avoiding it, because I have heard it's quite painful, but I think I am ready to finally read it.

I was hoping she would go back in time to show us the older sister's relationship, because the first two books focused on the sisters, but it looks like Schmidt is branching out
