My Week in Review
August is almost over, and I am shocked at how fast the clock is ticking. I finally have something to look forward to though. My daughter is going to be brave and fly home for Thanksgiving. By the time I see her, it will have been almost 10 months. I hope she will stay for a bit, since she is working remotely. That's all the good news I have this week.
I was looking at my vacation/sick/personal time the other day, and had 25 unscheduled days. So, I will be working quite a few 4-day weeks for the next few months. They are letting us rollover 5 vacation days, which I will take advantage of, and I am selling back my paid time off. Still waiting to hear about the sick time. Usually we can roll some of that over too, but I am not sure with all the allowances they made already. I don't know how other companies do it, but I felt exhausted after working through all the numbers. I did get to catch up with my supervisor though, so that was nice.

Just because we couldn't go on holiday, doesn't mean no one had a good summer 🔊

What I Read Last Week
I had two *almost* 5-star reads, which is always a good thing, though, I was not surprised. I love the Moose Spring books, and the follow-up to The Tourist Attraction had the same charm and humor, and it was a delight.
Who I Was With Her was beautiful and heartbreaking. Tyndall delivered the feelsplosion I was looking for.
The biggest surprises this week came via my audiobooks. Three of the four books I listened to were past due ARCs. I had book the ebooks aside, because for whatever reason, I was not clicking with the books. I decided to give them a try on audio, and I enjoyed all of them, with two exceeding my expectations. Yeah for getting those past due ARC reviews in.

Dating Makes Perfect was one of my CWW picks, and I was really excited to see it on Hoopla (since I was rejected for it). I think this will be a good fit for me.

Can't Help Falling is the second book in a companion series, and it's fun being "back". I started this and put it aside to listen to my library loan, but I already have a soft spot for the hero.
