It seems my 2020 TBR has grown since my post last week, where I shared the YA books I am looking forward to in 2020. This shelf does not only house YA book, there are also many adult books I am looking forward to, and today, I will share 10 of those picks with you. Many of these are from authors I have read and LOVED, a few are adult debuts by some of my favorite YA authors, while others are just books that sound perfect for me.
- Ghosting: A Love Story by Tash Skilton
- The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel
- Heart & Seoul by Jen Frederick
- The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon
- Last Tang Standing by Lauren Ho
- Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
- What You Wish For by Katherine Center
- Beach Read by Emily Henry
- Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson
- The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver

Looks like good stuff. :) I love that beachy cover on Beach Read! How fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's literal, but eye catching
DeleteOh yeah, I want ALL OF THESE LOL!. My TBR just got 10 books longer!
ReplyDeleteYEAH! If we read them, we will have to compare notes.
DeleteI am so here for adult romance books getting the pretty covers they deserve. Real Men Knit made it to my list too and it sounds really fun (and precious).
ReplyDeleteShe had me at knitting! But, seriously, love the family focus and the promise of a sensitive male lead.
DeleteThe Two Lives of Lydia Bird sounds so fantastic, and considering how much I loved her last book, I have high hopes!
ReplyDeleteI went bananas for Silver's first book, so I have really high hopes for Lydia Bird.
DeleteI have Beach Read on my wish list too. I'm loving all these covers.

I am really curious to see what Henry does in the adult contemporary realm. I love her YA books, so it's a no brainer to try an adult contemporary romance from her
Deletei am lovin' seeing all the lists. adds to my mountain of books. :-)
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
I am a fan of seeing what releases I may have missed
DeleteI'm in the same boat. My TBR list is rapidly growing lol
ReplyDeleteI wish my bank account grew at the same rate as my TBR.
DeleteIs Katherine Center the author of What you Save in a Fire? Because that cover looks so much like that other book!
ReplyDeleteYes, Center wrote that book, and I loved it so much, I will pounce on anything new she releases.
DeleteThe Two Lives of Lydia Bird is on my list, too. My arc request was declined (oh well) but I guess March 3 is so very far off.
ReplyDeleteI was declined on NG, but I am still holding out for EW. You never know.
DeleteI am super excited to read The Two Lives of Lydia Bird as well. Not too much longer for it! I hope that you enjoy all of these titles. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI tried to focus on first half of the year releases, and Lydia Bird was high on my list, because I simply adored One Day in December
DeleteMy TBR shelf is prominently YA so its really nice to see some amazing books geared towards adults that are coming out this year. I love Talia Hibbert her books are absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy shelf is primarily contemporary, but I do read across age groups. I had already done YA, and there are so many phenomenal adult books coming out, I had to throw some love their way. Yes! My first Hibbert book, Chloe Brown, was a hit. I am looking forward to reading more of her books and getting back into that world as well
DeleteCute picks! Such colorful covers too! Hope you enjoy them all these next few months!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
The covers are amazing
DeleteMy post was about adult books too. I hope you enjoy all these!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I already did YA, so why not show some love for the adult books I am itching to read
DeleteMost of these are new to me (although I think I've heard of Real Men Knit). Hope you like these!
ReplyDeleteKnit is one of the few new-to-me authors on my list. Many of these are from authors I have previously read and LOVED.
DeleteI cannot wait for Center's next book! I love her writing. I'm hoping it's only getting better.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with her. After Fire, I read How to Walk Away (amazing) and Get Lucky, which was also very good. This new one sounds like another winner for me
DeleteAll new to me. Not surprising I have been out of the reading gig for a bit. Real Men Knit looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt does look great, though it is by a new-to-me author, I am very excited about the premise of the story
DeleteThis is a fantastic list. I just finished Get a Life, Chloe Brown last night so I really want that next book too. I'm also excited for Katherine Center's next book. Real Men Knit looks cool too.
ReplyDeleteDid you love Chloe and Red? I loved them, and the sisters have a great energy. I am excited to get back into that world. Center blew me away with her last two books, so I am up for more of that
DeleteThe Two Lives of Lydia Bird is the only one already on my TBR, but I feel like I need to add a few of the others! Great list, Sam! <3
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? 💬
One Day in December made such an impact on me. I just loved it so much. Fingers crossed, Lydia Bird is a hit for us too
DeleteI haven't heard of a single one of these! Haha! I hope you love them all!
ReplyDeleteThere is not one fantasy in the bunch.
DeleteI'm looking forward to the next Alison Weir Tudor Queens book coming out this month, a couple of horror and thriller books with winter settings like Snowball and Voices in the Snow, the new Mercy Thompson book...exciting!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read all these books, and that they live up to your expectations.
DeleteI didn't know there was a new Katherine Center Book coming! I'm off to check that one out pronto! :)
ReplyDeleteI was so excited, when I saw that book. She has won her way onto my must read list.
DeleteI need to add all of these to my GR TBR pronto. Loving the covers!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to read some of them!
DeleteI'm so pysched for Heart and Seoul!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds sooo good, and I have had good luck with Frederick's books too. I think it will be a winner
DeleteMy favorite part of this post is the overall aesthetic of these covers! Lately, I've been soooo into covers with drawn characters and script over them with the solid color background. You know, like The Trouble with Hating You and The Boyfriend Project. I *really* gravitate to them. I have no idea why!
ReplyDeleteI have always been into covers. Confession - I am a cover-ho, cover-snob, cover-lover, etc, etc. Those covers are great. I especially love the color combination on The Trouble with Hating You.
DeleteThese all look like cute, fun reads. Hope you enjoy them all!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Deleteso many great choices on here!! I hope you adore them all <3
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to read them all!
DeleteEvery single one of these covers should be a legit poster. That is basically it. I am not a huge contemporary reader in general, and even less so in adult books (all the adult books on my list are dreary and awful, I'm sure hah) but some of these look REALLY cute. I will look out for the ones you loved and try a few!
ReplyDeleteI avoid literary fiction like the plague, because I find those books to heavy and depressing, but romances, *real* romances always leave me in a good mood.
DeleteAh this is such a good list, thank you so much for making me discover all of these new titles! I adore these covers so much as well. The only book already on my TBR is The Trouble with Hating You, but I think I'll have to add a couple of these to it :D
ReplyDeleteGlad you found a few that appealed to you. TTT always results in a TBR explosion for me.
DeleteI'm curious about any romance that has a title like Ghosting! Ghosting isn't typically conducive to romance, lol. :)
ReplyDeleteTake A Hint, Dani Brown is also one I'm curious about... after I read Chloe Brown!
Go! Read Chloe Brown. It was so good. I loved it so much, and that's why I must read Dani Brown. I read another romance that had to do with ghosting, last year maybe. It's an interesting jumping off point for a romance.
DeleteAwesome list Sam! Yes to Heart and Seoul :) I need to check out Last Tang Standing! I love multicultural literature/fiction :)
ReplyDeleteLindy@ A Bookish Escape
I have only read Frederick's sports romances, so I am excited to read something different from her. Heart and Seoul sounds like a winner to me
DeleteWhen it comes to what romantic and contemporary books to add to my tbr, I almost completely lean on your blog. So while I don't know any of these books, I know your reviews will be coming and I am looking forward to seeing what you think so I know what I need to add to my tbr. :D
ReplyDeleteI do hope to read ALL of these. At least I know I will definitely be reading Beach Read, because I recently got a DRC for that. A bright spot for me last week
