Fiercely independent and smart, Zora Emerson wants to change the world. She's excited to be attending a prestigious summer program, even if she feels out of place among her privileged, mostly white classmates. So she's definitely not expecting to feel a connection to Owen, who's an actual prince of an island off the coast of England. But Owen is funny, charming...and undeniably cute. Zora can't ignore the chemistry between them. When Owen invites Zora to be his date at his big brother's big royal wedding, Zora is suddenly thrust into the spotlight, along with her family and friends. Everyone is talking about her, in real life and online, and while Owen is used to the scrutiny, Zora's not sure it's something she can live with. Can she maintain her sense of self while moving between two very different worlds? And can her feelings for Owen survive and thrive in the midst of the crazy? Find out in this charming romantic comedy that's like The Princess Diaries for a new generation. Why I want to read this book
I added this book to my TBR right after I saw the cover, because it screams fun and cute romance to me. Upon further investigation, I saw people dropping all sorts of names and adjectives, which solidified my desire to read this book. Comparisons to Kasie West books and The Princess Diaries, as well as describing the story as a rom-com have these grabby hands out of control. I also seem to like books that feature royalty. Sounds like a good fit for me.
Emma Chastain

Bridget Jones’s Diary meets Mean Girls as lovably flawed high school student Chloe Snow chronicles her junior year as she navigates the highs and lows of family, friendship, school, and losing her virginity. Why I want to read this book
I’ll be honest: junior year has been a disaster.
My horrible mom is back from Mexico.
My dad’s girlfriend is living in our house.
Did I mention my parents aren’t divorced yet?
On the plus side, I lost my virginity!...and then the whole school found out and I got slut-shamed.
Then, somehow, I got popular! But according to some people, it turned me into a monster, and I’m pretty sure everyone hates me now.
Oh, and there was the Thanksgiving fiasco, and the prom queen debacle, and the illegal middle-of-the-night drive to the hospital.
Want to hear the whole wild story? You’ll have to read my notes.
My love for Chloe Snow started with her second book. Yep. I read them out of order. BUT, I loved it so much, I went back to book one to catch up, and my love and adoration for Chloe became a thing. I have a bit of a penchant for these diary/confessional type books, and I immediately fell for Chloe. Obviously, I want nothing more, than to see Chloe through all four years of high school, but the title of this book has me more than curious, and itching to get back into her personal drama. Fingers crossed Chloe chose wisely.
What are you waiting on?

DeleteTruly Madly Royally sounds so cute and like something I would consider picking up. It does seem to have a kind of Katie West vibe from the synopsis. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I just found out I am doing a tour for it, so I will definitely be reading the book
DeleteThese both sound so cute! I am definitely adding them to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteGlad they found their way to your TBR
DeleteTruly Madly Royally sounds absolutely adorable! I'm a bit fan of The Princess Diaries for those sweet, fluffy and fun reads. There's quite a few royal type romance reads around lately but thrilled to see that young adult isn't missing out either. I really like the sound of Notes From A Former Virgin but I can't get past the arms on the cover. They look incredibly mannequin like. Might be one better off buying an an eBook because that would make me laugh every time. Thanks for sharing Sam and great picks this week!
ReplyDeleteNow I can't stop seeing the arms 🤣 But, Chloe is great. I hope you get a chance to meet her

DeleteI don't know much about these two but you often read and then review your can't wait Wednesday book. I hope you will be able to enjoy these when you read them and am looking forward to your opinions ^.^
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to get Truly Madly Royally, but I will have to hope the library gets the new Chloe Snow. My CWW picks are my wishes to the universe. Sometimes, they result in ARC approvals. I do read most of them though at some point close to release.
DeleteThese sound interesting. I think I would like to read Truly Madly Royally first tho. I haven't done a CWW post in awhile. I have to get back into them. I liked learning about new books coming out. Great picks.
ReplyDeleteMary
These posts are getting harder and harder to do, as there are less releases at the end of the year, and I don't like to go too far out. Royally was cute. It was a fun read, and I thought the main character was fabulous.
