Can't Wait Wednesday!

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I can't wait for:
Virtually Yours
Sarvenaz Tash
Age/Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Release Date: June 4, 2019
Goodreads
Modern love plus online anonymity is a recipe for romantic disaster in this lighthearted new romance from the author of The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love.

How bad can one little virtual lie be?

NYU freshman Mariam Vakilian hasn’t dated anyone in five months, not since her high school sweetheart Caleb broke up with her. So, when she decides to take advantage of an expiring coupon and try out a new virtual reality dating service, it’s sort of a big deal.

It’s an even bigger deal when it chooses as one of her three matches none other than Caleb himself. That has to be a sign, right?

Except that her other match, Jeremy, just happens to be her new best friend IRL.

Mariam’s heart is telling her one thing, but the app is telling her another. So, which should she trust? Is all fair in modern love?
Why I want to read this book

  1. Sarvenaz Tash wrote it.
  2. YA goes to college.
  3. Lighthearted + Romance = Perfect Sam-read
  4. Set in NYC.
  5. Virtual reality dating - sounds fun to me.

Praise for Virginia Macgregor:

'I defy you not to fall in love' Clare Mackintosh

How do you change what’s already written in the stars?

Christopher is the sort of guy that no one notices, yet when Air catches sight of him making intricate paper birds in the airport, she can’t look away.

But their worlds are about to collide in ways they never expected. Someone they love is on Flight 0217 from London Heathrow. And it’s missing.

Convinced that her brother was on a different flight, Air drives them hundreds of miles across the country, on a trip that will change their lives forever.

But how do you tell the person you’re falling for that you might just be the reason their life has fallen apart?
Why I want to read this book

I am known for my light and fluffy tastes, but will tag in for a gut wrenching read if the right one presents itself. This book seems to have all the elements, that never fail to work for me, and it also has a road trip, where these two can grow closer and perhaps, fall in love. Heartbreak and heart-make, sign me up!
What are you waiting on?

    1. I think it's great that we are seeing more and more YA goes to college books. It's the niche that NA should fill, but they made that market all college romance.
