"LOVE" is in the Air!
This week, I assembled a list of YA books I read with titles, that feature the word LOVE in some form.
I am a solid member of the Jennifer E. Smith fan club, and I utterly adored this book. I loved they way they, and how circumstances kept bringing them back together. It totally delivered on the warm fuzzies.
Dellaria's writing is so beautiful, and this story got me right in the feels. I am a fan of epistolary and grief novels, and this one was both. It was quite deep and moving and left me with all sorts of tears to deal with.
I am going to start crying just thinking about this book. Though there was romance in this book, this was really about Charlie's journey for me. It was emotional and beautifully written, and I just loved it.
Both Henry's books were winners for me. I find her writing to be gorgeous and ethereal, and I was swept away by this story of identity and love, which was laced with a little magic.
Jenny Han
Series: To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Who doesn't love Lara Jean! She sits atop a list of some of my favorites, and I enjoyed her series so much. I am still holding out for a Kitty spinoff (are you listening, Jenny Han?), because I really need to that what happened "after". The series ending just didn't cut it for me.
This falls into the category of a funny book about unfunny things. These characters were dealing with some very major issues, but Crane managed to deliver a heartwarming and humorous read, which was also honest and heartbreaking.
Such a sweet and beautiful story of friendship and love. I laughed, I cried, I learned a lot about blindness. I have nothing but love for this story of first love.
So. Much. Fun. Goo won me a fan with this book. I fell in love with Desi. She was such a hot mess when it came to romance, and her approach to getting her guy, though quite questionable, was hilarious to read about.
Another solid read for me. This one has lots of nerd culture, as well as a heroine, who is dealing with anxiety disorder/agoraphobia. Major plot points are Mallory taking those small steps toward rejoining the outside world, and I thought Winfrey handled it well. I also loved the romance (obviously).
What a fantastic debut! This was a Much Ado About Nothing retelling, which was so charming, fun, and filled with fabulous characters I couldn't get enough of.
For MORE books with the word LOVE in the title, check out this list from Book Riot.
What are some of your favorite "LOVE" books?
Let us know in the comments!
Nice pick! Love is indeed used a lot, and those are some great examples. I'm enjoying this weeks topic an seeig what everyone came up with. :)
ReplyDeleteLove and Other Alien Experiences sounds like one I'd like to try.
I have such a soft spot for Love and Other Alien Experiences. It was fun and sweet and I loved the brothers and the romance and the way the author dealt with the MC's anxiety. Lots of good stuff there.
DeleteI've read a couple of lists with "LOVE" today, and they're all different books lol excellent choices!
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised to hear LOVE was popular. I had a whole bunch on my shelf, and if I went outside of my YA read shelf, I would have tons.
DeleteYou're not the first person I've seen talk about books whose titles include the word love in them this week. It seems to be a very popular word.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
Hence, why I had so many books with LOVE In the title
DeleteGreat post! I can't believe how much 'love' is used... but at the same time I can lol. So many cute sounding books ahaha :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT!
This week's topic has been quite eye opening as to overused words.
DeleteOoh these are some good picks! I've also read quite a few books on this list, for once! Haha! :)
ReplyDeleteWith your penchant for romance, I am not surprised you have read some of these.
DeleteGreat topic! I haven't read any of these sadly, but I have a few on my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteThey were all great. I hope you get to read a few of them.
DeleteGreat list, I never noticed before how often "love" is used in titles!
ReplyDeleteI only included books I have read. I know there are tons of YA books out there with LOVE in their title, that I have not read. You know, I love love, so it's all good.
DeleteI’ve seen so many “love” books. I expect it’ll be a popular word today. Great list!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I have not seen any LOVE lists. I must find them.
DeleteI keep hearing great things about Speak Easy, Speak Love. I really want to read it!
ReplyDeleteThat book was excellent. Great characters, great story. I really enjoyed it.
DeleteI usually avoid books with "love" in the title-not a romance fan!

We are polar opposites, because if I see love, it makes me look harder at the book. XD
DeleteOh nice picks!! Basically all new to me ones since they seem to be contemps! Great word choice though!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
It's not hard to find books with this word, that's for sure! :-)

And these are just from my YA read shelf. Forget about my contemporary romance read shelf. My list would be miles long.
DeleteOh wow, nearly every one is these is still on my TBR. I think Speak Easy, Speak Love is probably my favorite recent read that has love in the title. Such a great book!
ReplyDeleteIt really was a fabulous book. I can't wait to read more from George.
DeleteLook at all the love. This just reminded me that I really want to read Speak Easy, Speak Love.
ReplyDeleteYou should read it. It was such a wonderful book.
DeleteThis list is just another example of how little contemporary books I read, even though I like them, because love didn't appear on my list this week.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT https://wp.me/p3ftwe-VS
The furtherest I got from contemporary on this list was a little magical realism.
DeleteThis is a great list and so many of these books are on my TBR. I have to read Jenny Han soon (I have copies of the series but need to make time).
ReplyDeleteIf you don't get to read the Han series, you can watch the movie on Netflix soon.
DeleteIt's so funny how many share words! Love was definitely a good one to pick!
ReplyDeleteIt was a toss up between LOVE and KISS for me, but love won.
DeleteI pared down my list by picking the more recent reads and the ones I really adored.
ReplyDeleteLove is probably one of the most common words in a title now that I am thinking about it. I have read three of your picks and really enjoyed them. Fun list!
ReplyDeleteMaybe in contemporary, and especially for me, because I am a contemporary romance fan.
DeleteI have never read a single one of those, but I have been reading some really good reviews about To All the Boys I've Loved Before :) so maybe I'll try it one day!
ReplyDeleteYou know my lists are pretty much all YA contemporaries, but I think All the Boys has a wide appeal. Lara Jean and her family are so wonderful, and just have a special place in my heart.
DeleteI can't wait for the movie for 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' By Jenny Han. It sounds so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am really excited about that adaptation too, and since it's going straight to Netflix, I will definitely see it.
DeleteI've only read To All The Boys I've Loved Before, and I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few who couldn't get into it...
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
I am a huge contemporary romance reader, so it fit me to a tee, but I can understand it being outside of other readers' normal comfort zones.
DeleteI clearly need to get caught up on my love based books! Over half of these were on my TBR but I actually haven't read any of them yet.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of great books up there. I hope you get to some of them one of these days.
