Waited on by: Sam
The New York Times Bestselling duo behind Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily return with twins out to throw the party of a lifetime--or at least the best party of high school!I don't remember which blog had featured this book, but I was beyond excited when I saw it. I have mentioned it before, in fact, I mentioned it yesterday in my TTT post, that I love Levithan-Cohn co-writes. Their books make me happy, and I will always want to read them all.
Siblings Sam and Ilsa Kehlmann have spent most of their high school years throwing parties for their friends--and now they've prepared their final blowout, just before graduation.
The rules are simple: each twin gets to invite three guests, and the other twin doesn't know who's coming until the partiers show up at the door. With Sam and Ilsa, the sibling revelry is always tempered with a large dose of sibling rivalry, and tonight is no exception.
One night. One apartment. Eight people. What could possibly go wrong? Oh, we all know the answer is plenty. But plenty also goes right, as well...in rather surprising ways.
This one sounds like it will be another great addition to their body of work for the following reasons:
- I love sibling story and to make this even better, they're twins.
- Wait, they are twins and there is a little rivalry between them. Delicious!
- They are planning their final high school hurrah, and those end of an era stories are usually fun.
- They have rules, which only means lots of stuff will go wrong, and things going wrong = hijinks. You know who loves hijinks? This girl.
- And I want to know what goes right
What are you waiting on?
Let us know in the comments!
This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThese two are usually good for a fun story.
DeleteOoo,these are the same author's who wrote 12 Days, right? I got a copy of that one but never read it. I hope you enjoy this new book when you get the chance to read it, Sam!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Yes! They wrote both the Dash and Lily books. I liked the Book of Dares better then Twelve days, because it was more light hearted, but both were good.
DeleteThis sounds like a super fun read. I hope you'll enjoy it when you get to read it :)
ReplyDeleteMy CWW
I am hoping it lives up to my expectations.
DeleteI love that the main characters are twins, and that cover is so fun!! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteThe cover eludes to fun and twins can be really fun if done right. Fingers crossed, it lives up to my expectations.
DeleteThis one does sound fun - one wonders, what will happen? I'll watch for this one, though I don't read a lot of YA - but sometimes...
ReplyDeleteI read a ton of YA and DL is one of my faves.
DeleteThis one sounds cute! I love the sibling rivalry idea! I hope you enjoy this one!
ReplyDeleteSibling rivalry can be so much fun or painful, but I trust it will go the fun route here.
DeleteWhat a pretty cover and the twin concept sounds fun. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am sucker for a pretty cover and it is screaming fun to me.
DeleteI haven't read Cohn or Levithan (well I read a LEvithan short story in an anthology, but not sure that counts) but they sound like a good team, and Cohn's books have caught my eye. This one looks nice. and hijinks are good!!
ReplyDeleteI have read a bunch of their co-writes and a several of Levithan's books, but I have yet to read one of Cohn's solo efforts. I will say, they are a great team.
DeleteI just discovered this one the other day and I am super pumped for it! I usually love their books and this one just sounds like a blast! :)
ReplyDeleteI forget which blogger spotlighted it, but I was grateful, because I had no idea before then.
DeleteYou never say "What could possibly go wrong?" Lol... Sounds like a good one!
ReplyDeleteYep, that is usually the precursor to something going wrong. :)
DeleteFun pick! Doesn't really sound like my kind of read though! I hope you will thoroughly enjoy it once you get to read it!
ReplyDeleteHere's my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)

Cute cover, cute synopsis. I think it will be a hit for me
DeleteGah I love that cover!!! I
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI haven't read either of these authors. I do love that cover and think this one sounds great. I hope you enjoy it, Sam!
ReplyDeleteI am a DL fangirl. I have picture with him and everything. He is really big in NY, and runs a great teen festival every year.
DeleteI hadn't heard of this one, but it sounds great! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Wednesday Post
I was so happy when I heard these two were putting out a new book
DeleteI love their books! I can't believe this is the first I'm hearing of Sam & Ilsa's Last Hurrah. Thanks for putting it out there so I could add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteDo You Dog-ear?
I only heard about it when I saw someone else's WOW a few weeks ago, and was I happy!
DeleteHeh, this does indeed sound and look fun AND you're right, the sibling/twin aspect is definitely going to be sooo delicious!
ReplyDeleteRight. I think it has so many fun possibilities.
DeleteA new Levithan-Cohn collab? Yes, please! I really enjoyed Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist and Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List (Dash & Lily was just okay for me) so I’m excited to see something new from them.
ReplyDeleteI loved Book of Dares, the second Dash and Lily was not as good for me, but still good. I am excited right there with you for more Cohn-Leviathan
DeleteOh, this sounds absolutely DELIGHTFUL!! Just reading the plot synopsis makes me want to go back to high school and do it all over again! Lol. Except that THIS time I would make SURE to go to a COED high school, instead of an all-girl school, and thus, I would have MORE FUN!! LOL. :) :)
ReplyDeleteThat cover is so GREAT, too!! Makes me want to jump right into the book!! AWESOME PICK!!! Heading over to Goodreads to add this one!!
Thanks for sharing!! Also, thanks for commenting on my CWW post!! <3 :)
Co-ed high schools are overrated. I was supposed to go to an all-girls school, but we moved before I went to HS, and the public school in my town was good. The cover is awesome and I think the story will live up to that cover.
DeleteP.S. And I LOVE your GIF!!! HILARIOUS!!!! :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteI love gifs. I don't know how we lived without them.
