Stuffed Animal Saturday [18]

Stuffed Animal Saturday is a meme that we post here at We Live and Breathe Books to showcase the book we're currently reading with one of our favorite stuffed animals and discuss our stuffed animal's opinion (well, it's really our opinion, but that's besides the point). We hope you enjoy our quirky feature as much as we enjoy writing it!

As I mentioned in my 2015 Reading Goals & Challenges post, I am currently participating in Bout of Books 12! As one of my Bout of Books reads, Me, Yottey aka Fat Yeti (he was Fat Yeti before Fat Amy), and Bumble are reading This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales! This book is also my first TBR Jar challenge read for read a new-to-you author!

So far: We're only just starting This Song Will Save Your Life today, so Fat Yeti and Bumble don't have much to say about it at this point. They are really excited to get into it though!

Sneak peek: Since we've just started it, Fat Yeti and Bumble wanted me to share some of the very beginning of the book!

     You think it's so easy to change yourself.
     You think it's so easy, but it's not.
     What do you think it takes to reinvent yourself as an all-new person, a person who makes sense, who belongs? Do you change your clothes, your hair, your face? Go on, then. Do it. Pierce your ears, trim our bangs, buy a new purse. They will still see past that, see you, the girl who is still too scared, still too smart for her own good, still a beat behind, still, always, wrong. Change all you want; you can't change that.
     I know because I tried.

Fat Yeti and Bumble are intrigued by this passage. At first they thought it was cool because it has a New Year's resolutions vibe with how it's not easy to change yourself. But as they kept reading, they saw that it's much more than that. Fat Yeti and Bumble can't wait to read more of This Song Will Save Your Life and neither can I!
